One that could challenge the likes of Quevega in the David Nicholson Mares Hurdle Betting is Banjaxed Girl who had a good win at Sandown last time out to put her name into the frame. She won the 32Red Mares Hurdle at Sandown at the start of January in some style for Nigel Twiston Davies on heavy ground, she would prefer it quicker for Cheltenham and should connections get their wish Banjaxed Girl could be a live contender.
Patrick Rodford looks to have a nice type for the David Nicholson on his hands in Sparky May who continues to impress this season with four successive wins to her name. The most impressive and most recent of those wins was her success in the 1942 Was A Vintage Year Mares Hurdle at Ascot when she lowered the colours of the well fancied Caroles Legacy. Sparky May seems to be improving with every run and should come on again for the run which makes her an attractive Festival proposition.
