1 Non Runners: Working Title

One horse who has staked his claim for the Pertemps Final is the impressive looking Mr Moonshine who won the Pertemps Handicap Hurdle Qualifier recently at Huntingdon. Trained and owned by Sue Smith he hacked up at Huntingdon and on that form he could go to Cheltenham with every chance of running a good race.

Nicky Henderson has confirmed that he will be entering Lush Life in the Pertemps Final at Cheltenham and like all of his runners he will have every chance of running well. He started his season at Cheltenham back in November when 9th in the Paddy Power Intermediate Handicap Hurdle, he was carrying top weight that day and the race was eventually won by World Hurdle fancy Grand Crus. Lush Life returned to Cheltenham in December where he ran well to win the Citipost Handicap Hurdle over 3 miles which is a race that has thrown up some nice winners in recent years. Last time out he ran well below his best when 11th in the Totesport handicap Hurdle at Sandown last month and punters will be hoping he bounces back to form at the Festival.

David Pipe has been having a good season and he looks likely to have the interesting Chartreux in the Pertemps Final at the Festival. He is a tough one to gauge having just had the one run so far this season and that was at Cheltenham back on New Year's Day. He ran well that day to finish third in the Skybet Handicap Hurdle behind stable mate Ashkazar and Junior, at one stage he looked the likely winner in a good race so could be a bit of value back at Cheltenham in the Festival.
