Tidal Bay Record Intact
In the Boylesport Novice chase at Cheltenham at the weekend Tidal Bay showed he is a novice on the up with a very good win. He jumped well in the main and showed a good turn of foot when asked to seal the contest and it will take a very decent novice to beat him.The bookmakers made him favourite for the Royal & SunAlliance Chase and shortened him further for that event, although connections stated they would not be frightened to drop him back in trip and go for the Arkle. It is expected that Tidal bay will have one more run before the Cheltenham festival and is now best price 8/1 with Ladbrokes and VCbet for the Sun Alliance and best price 12/1 for the Arkle with Paddy Power.
Gold Medallist, having his first outing for not far off three years, and his first over fences, an a really good race and he may give Tidal Bay something to think about later in the season.
