Glencove Marina on Target for the Arkle
Glencove Marina on target for the Arkle following his easy victory in the Paddy Fitzpatrick Memorial Novice Chase at Leopardstown on Pierse Hurdle day. Ruby Walsh was glowing following his thrashing of the opposition by ten lengths. Afterwards on the way back into the winners enclosure he stated that e was a proper horse and this is high praise indeed from the popular Irish jockey. In the race itself they went a proper gallop in and the more pace the better Glencove liked it on really testing ground at the Leopardstown track. He travelled strongly to get to the front before the last, he settled matters with a spectacular jump at that fence and quickened right away. The winning trainer is of the opinion that he will have no trouble getting three miles and has more than enough speed to come back to two miles.
Glencove marina has been backed down to as low as 8/1 in the Arkle following the race and the biggest price you can get is 10/1 with Ladbrokes.
