Master Minded Champion Chase Odds

The Master Minded Champion Chase odds took a real overhaul after Master Minded beat Voy Por Ustedes at Newbery last Saturday. Master Mided is now the favourite along with stable companion Twist Magic as the five-year-old made all of the running and steadily left last year's Queen Mother winner Voy Por Ustedes behind from the third-last. William Hill have him at just 2-1, although 5-1 was available with Cashmans.

It had not been the plan to make the running, but it suited him well and he was allowed an easy lead. He did not put a foot wrong he jumped the first two quite extravagantly and one suspects that he would have beaten the favourite even without the weight concession. It seems that Ruby Walsh will opt for Master Minded goes to the Quen Mother on a roll whereas Twist Magic was beaten last time at Ascot and has thrown in the odd poor effort.

Master Minded on Monday saw his odd shorten even further to around 9/4 as Ruby Walsh has opted to ride him over Twist magic.
