Noland Favourite for the Arkle Chase

Noland is Favourite for the Arkle Chase following his win in the Durkan Group Novices Chase at Sandown. Noland is generally a 7/2 chance to win at the festival and Ruby Walsh was very impressed with his jumping which ultimately won the day for him. They went a muddling pace in this race and this did not really suit Noland who is more of a galloper and it turned into a bit of a sprint coming into the straight. Psychomodo looked a real danger going to the second last but fell and left the race to Noland at this point.

This performance would not have given his ante post backers much to shout about as his price is generally unchanged after the race, if not drifting a little with some of the online bookmakers. This was a really good warm up race for him in what was his only his second run over fences.

Toteport Spokesman Damian Walker said “Paul Nicholls said Noland would come on massively for this run after suffering a setback following his chase debut at Folkestone and that is why we have kept him unchanged at 11-4. “His jumping is exceptional and he is likely to get easier ground on the opening day of the Festival which would also be in his favour.”

Runner-up My Petra is 50-1 from 100-1 for the Arkle Chase.
