Going Important to Grand National Betting Tips
The going for next weeks Grand National is all important to a very important Grand National betting tip. That is, horses that go on very soft ground will have an advantage if the rain continues to fall at Aintree over the next 8 days. Most importantly if the ground does come up soft then horses that carry less weight will have an advantage as lumping anything over 11 Stone around 4 miles 4 Furlongs is going to take its' toll on these horses.
One of the bets that many people like to have is the number of finishers of the race. Normally, there are around 16-18 finishers, but when the ground is soft or heavy then the number that finish can be counted on your fingers. Clerk of the course Andrew Tulloch indicated that the ground this week is on the easy side of good, but since then we have had a lot more rain and there is a very unsettled picture over the next few days.
So make sure that the horse you are looking to back goes on the soft, if these are the conditions and that the weight of your horse is as little as possible.
