Punchestown Festival Winner Reinforces Cheltenham Form
A Punchestown Festival winner once again reinforces a top performance by a Cheltenham Festival runner in Blazing Bailey. Running in the Ladbrokes World Series Hurdle at Punchestown the Aintree winner of the Staying Hurdle demonstrated that he is a class long distance hurdler as he ensured that his stamina would win out on the day.
Choc Thornton settled Blazing Bailey in mid-division, and in the final mile of the race he looked in trouble but he proved what a fine battler he is as the further they went the more he got into top gear. He found trouble as they came into the straight but once he was produced by his jockey he went into a decisive lead and won going away.
The online bookies have reacted by putting him in as a 6/1 chance for next years Cheltenham Ladbroke World Hurdle behind Inglis Drever and Kasbah Bliss.Totesport 2009 Ladbrokes World Hurdle Betting
