Cheltenham Festival Gamble Leg Spinner Backed For Swinton Hurdle

The Cheltenham Festival gamble on Leg Spinner is now being backed for the Swinton Hurdle. Leg Spinner is now 9-2 from 6-1 with the sponsors totesport after further support today. Spokesman Damian Walker said: “Punters have latched onto Tony Martin’s Leg Spinner as the drying weather has brought conditions in his favour. “We were 8-1 on Monday when we opened betting on the race and Leg Spinner has attracted decent support since then. There has been some doubt about the horse’s participation, but the money we have seen suggests he will make the line up on Saturday.

“Leg Spinner was one of the gambles of the Cheltenham Festival until soft ground ruled him out. He could be very well handicapped over hurdles as his Flat form is exceptional, having landed last season’s totesport Cesarewitch.” Ed Dunlop’s Al Khaleej is 11-2 favourite from 6-1 with the sponsors for the totesport.com Victoria Cup following the 48-hour decs today. Walker added: “Al Khaleej was an 8-1 chance when we opened betting at the start of the week and has been the best backed horse in the race. “He showed at Kempton last time that he was still progressing and a big run looks likely on Saturday.
