Cheltenham 2009 Champion Hurdler Favourite gets Beat on Return

There was a shock in the feature race at Kempton on Sunday which was the Wbx.com Hurdle and Snap Tie 14/1 (first show) with Stan James UK sprang a surprise when overturning the 2009 Champion Hurdle joint favourite, Katchit 6/1 (unchanged). Katchit tracked the leader and had a slight lead approaching 2 out but was soon pushed along, and was headed soon after the last but he kept on but always just outpaced by winner.

In the other races on the Kempton card, there were a few good performances from potential Cheltenham 2009 candidates in I'msingingtheblues who is now the 12/1 second favourite for the 2009 Arkle Trophy after a decisive victory in the Wbx.com Beginners' Chase.

Saticon made a succesful debut on his switch from the Flat in the Wbx.com Juvenile Novices' Hurdle and is now 25/1 for the 2009 Triumph Hurdle.
