Exotic Dancer excellent second place, behind the Nigel Twiston-Davies trained Knowhere in the Old Roan Chase at Aintree on October 26th did not necessarily improve his odds for winning the 2009 Cheltenham Gold Cup, The Bookmakers did not seem particularly impressed and he remains a 33/1 shot for the race. However he looked a much better horse than those odds suggest, he travelled well throughout the race and finished ahead of Voy Por Ustedes, who was fourth, Mister McGoldrick (5th), Oslot (6th ) and Monets Gardens (7th). Exotic Dancer’s trainer, Jonjo O’Neill admitted that he has not had his horse any better and he will now aim him at the Betfair Chase at Haydock on November 22nd where he will take on Knowhere, Voy Por Ustedes again. He should also come up against his old rival, Kauto Star.
