Diamond Harry Cheltenham Festival Target Undecided

Trainer Nick Williams was quick to pay tribute to his wife Jane following the victory of 13-8 favourite Diamond Harry in the penultimate race of the three-day Open Meeting. The Sir Harry Lewis gelding has been cut to 10-1 from 16-1 with both William Hill and Paddy Power for the Ballymore Properties Novices' Hurdle at The Festival in March.

Commenting on his Festival target, Williams added: "The point about coming here today was to see if we'd go down the EBF Final route but I doubt we'll do that now. We'll probably come back to The Festival for either the two-and-a-half mile (Ballymore Properties Novices' Hurdle) or three-mile novice hurdle (Albert Bartlett). That's the only thing to decide now. Mostly at The Festival, the three-mile has been a shade weaker but I think he'd probably be okay in either of them.

"A fair bit of give in the ground would be good - in his bumper runs it was always quite soft or heavy and I think that suited him. We'll be sensible with him, there's a race at the end of December at Newbury, the Challow Hurdle, which might suit him."
