Enda Bolger 1,2,3 in Cross Country Handicap Chase

It was hardly ever in doubt that an Edna Bolger trained horse would win this race, it was just a question of which one. The fact that he saddled the first three home was a tremendous feat in itself but it was Nina Carberry who triumphed on the top weight Garde Champetra for the second successive year. The winner was quite simply stronger at the end and thoroughly deserved the victory and for Nina Carberry it was hir third straight win in the race. She proved herself once again every bit as strong as the men.

Edna Bolger has made this race his own with four wins of the five renewals, and the win put the Irish up by 3-2 after five races at this years Cheltenham Festival.
