The Ladbrokes World Hurdle is the feature race on Day Three of the Cheltenham Festival and the bookmakers feel that the two main contenders for victory are Kasbah Bliss and Punchestowns. The french horse Kasbah Bliss will go off as a justified favourite after finishing second in the race last year as well as giving some excellent performance so far this season. Kasbah was runner-up to the now retired Inglis Drever in last year's race and many expect him to go one better this time round. He is currently available at around 6/5 with most bookmakers to the big race today.
Closest challenger to Kasbah Bliss in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle looks set to be the well fancied Punchestowns. Punchestowns is a an improving horse who has been picked out by many as one to watch for the future for quite a while now. It remains to be seen whether he will realise his potential today but he has shown some good performances so far this season and is capable of winning any race. He is available at around the 3/1 mark with several bookmakers and is sure to be in the mix.
Another possible candidate is the Paul Nicholls trained Big Bucks who actually beat Punchestowns in Januray at Cheltenham in the Cleeve Hurdle when the ground suited Big Bucks. He is definitely one to watch in this race and has excellent claims especially against Punchestowns. Big Bucks is currently priced at 6/1 with many bookmakers.
