Cheltenham Festival Gold Cup Day

The curtain comes down today on yet another fantastic Cheltenham Festival which has been a huge success yet again. Today of course is Cheltenham Gold Cup day and the race will be the focal point of the nation let alone the 50,000 crowd at Prestbury Park.

Will it be Kauto Star who creates history today and become the first horse ever to regain the crown, or is he going to find one of the others to good for him on the day.

Last year of course it was Denman who stole the race with a blistering gallop, but it is not thought that he can repeat that form, leaving a quite open race and with several potential winners.

The Queens horse, Barbers Shop has come in for considerable support as has Exotic dancer Neptune Collonges and Madison de Berlais. Whatever the outcome the race is sure to be a classic and will produce a worthy winner on the day

The Triumph Hurdle which kicks off the days proceedings is a very open affair with half the field holding claims to be the winner. It is the first of a seven race card that concludes with the Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Challenge Chase Cup.
