Zaynar Triumphant In Triumph Hurdle

A fantastic start to the final days racing at the Cheltenham Festival saw the Nicky Henderson trained, Zaynar take the Triumph Hurdle following a pulsating battle with favourite, Walk On up the Cheltenham Hill.

Zaynar, ridden by Barry Geraghty maintained his unbeaten record and confirmed his early season victory over the runner up. Both horses have earned quotes for the 2010 Champion Hurdle where they can continue this very exciting rivalry.

The unlucky horse in the race was the Irish raider, Ebadiyan who ran off course when dictating the pace two hurdles from home. He was travelling as well as anything at the time and would have surely been in the shake up at the end.

However, Zaynar proved to be the best on the day and a big future can only be expected. Mourad, ridden by Ruby Walsh stayed on well to be be third.
