Notre Pere Eased in Gold Cup Market After Down Royal Fall

Despite falling five out when going really well, NOTRE PERE is none the worse for his experience in the Grade One, JN Wine Chase at Down Royal on 7th November. The race was won in fine style by the ten year old THE LISTENER, but his jockey, Andrew McNamara must have been mightily relieved when he realised NOTRE PERE was no longer in the race.

Winner of the 2009 Welsh National and the Guinness Gold Cup last season, NOTRE PERE remains on course for Cheltenham, but most bookmaker s have eased him in the market from 10/1 to 16/1 to win the Gold Cup. He next runs in the John Durkan which could see him up against THE LISTENER again.
