Sizing Europe is Sizing Up Arkle Chase at Cheltenham

Following an emphatic second victory over fences, SIZING EUROPE, has had his odds cut dramatically for the Arkle where he is now 8/1 second favourite and looking as if he can carry out his promises more readily than he ever did over hurdles.

The 7 year old romped away with the Grade One, Buck House Novice Chase at Punchestown on 15 Oct 2009, he looked supreme defeating no less a horse as HARCHIEBALD, who was also trying fences for the first time as a ten year old, by 15 lengths.

Once the 2/1 favourite for the Champion Hurdle in 2008, SIZING EUROPE, failed to achieve his true potential over the smaller obstacles, always promising but never delivering. However the manner in which he has taken to fences suggests that this may be always what he needed. Indeed, his jockey, Andrew Lynch is already suggesting that he is a Gold Cup horse for 2011.
