Cheltenham Festival St Patrick's Day Cashback Offer

Cheltenham Racecourse are getting quite innovative with their ticket sales and have taken a leaf out of the books of the online bookies with a money back offer for St Patrick's Day at the Cheltenham Festival this year. They today announced the launch of a special money back offer on ticket purchases for Wednesday, March 17, 2010, the second day of The Festival and also, of course, St Patrick’s Day. This follows the course refunding the cost of Club enclosure tickets to around 200 racegoers on Paddy Power Gold Cup day, who had taken advantage of a promotion offering to refund the cost of tickets if an Irish-trained horse won the big race for the first time since 1980.

Cheltenham is now making another offer for The Festival. Anyone who buys a Tattersalls ticket for St Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2010, at £35 in the next three weeks will get a full refund if there are no Irish-trained winners at The Festival that day.

The course’s Communications Manager, Andy Clifton, explained: “We were delighted to be able to make last Saturday even more special for 200 racegoers who ended up with a free day at Cheltenham , and rather than going back to the drawing board, we’ve decided to try our luck again! Whenever St Patrick’s Day falls during The Festival there is always an extra buzz about the place and with this ticket offer, those that are supporting the Irish horses can at least get some consolation if their ‘team’ draws a blank.”

The ticket offer is available online only from November 16 to December 7. Terms and conditions apply. Further details at www.cheltenham.co.uk
