The bookies have reacted to the fall out of the Hennessy Gold Cup result by installing Denman as the joint favourite for the Cheltenham Festival feature on the 19th March 2010. Coming into the race yesterday connections knew that Denman was in top form, they was a bit scared to hope that he would return to the Denman that we saw in 2008. We now know that this is exactly the position and should both he and Kauto Star make it in top form and in one piece we are set for what could be the decider, with the position in Gold Cups currently standing at one all with everything to play next March.
The National Hunt season has got off to a magnificent start with Kauto and Denman leading the way, as the racing enthusiast is being spoilt with quality racing week after week. We could not have believed that we could get a better days racing at Newbury for the Hennessy following the great finish to the Betfair Chase the previous weekend, but this is just what we got.
We also got to see a polished performance by Big Bucks in the Long Distance Hurdle and he looks nailed on to follow up in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle. There was also a major shock in the Fighting Fifth were Go Native beat ante post favourite for the Champion Hurdle, Binocular who was very disappointing.
Following on from last year, we are delighted to announce that we are featuring horse racing tips from Channel Four Racing presenter, Tom Lee.
