Khyber Kim looking to maintain 100% Record in Champion Hurdle

The Champion Hurdle entries were announced today and there are 34 remaining in the race with 21 of them trained in Ireland. The Irish went through a phase when all the leading fancies for the race came from Ireland, however this has changed in recent seasons with some excellent contenders coming from the UK.

In recent weeks there is one horse that has come in for a lot of support in the ante post Champion Hurdle betting markets and that is Khyber Kim who was last seen in the Boylesports International beating Celestial Halo and should he continue his 100% record at Prestbury Park this season in the Champion Hurdle he will win the £200,000 bonus on offer by Boylesports.

The Champion Hurdle is without doubt the most competitive of the Championship races at the festival as all season the betting market has ebbed and flowed after each trial. Heading the market are Zaynar mainly as he is yet to be beaten over hurdles, Solwhit after his success at Leopardstown at Christmas and Go Native who this season has showed us his true potential.

Nicky Henderson could be three handed in the race as along with Zaynar, he has Binocular and Punjabi,  who was last seasons Champion Hurdle winner. An interesting entry is Dunguib, but he will not run in this race as he is Supreme Novices bound.

The wonderful thing about this races as we may not even have mentioned the winner in this piece. This is a race to play in the each way market as the betting is so open this type of Cheltenham Festival bet could pay dividends, all you need to do is figure out which one to have a flutter on!
