HRA makes Cheltenham Festival Safety Recommendations

Following the number of horses that faced fatalities at the Cheltenham Festival in 2006 HRA makes Cheltenham Festival Safety Recommendations and they decided that the National Hunt Chase at the Cheltenham Festival which was believed to be under threat after three horses died in the most recent renewal in March has survived an inquiry by the Horseracing Regulatory Authority.

There have been a number of recommendations made to ensure that races are more safe including the number of horses that can compete and the width and ground conditions are other measures to ensure safer racing at the 2007 Cheltenham festival and beyond.
