Azertyuiop Queen Mother Bound

Good news for the Paul Nicholls trained chaser Azertyuiop who is Queen Mother bound at the cheltenham festival as he is back from injury and is hoping to continue on his upward curve as he will return to training next week after missing the entire 2005-6 jumps season.

The nine-year-old horse, owned by county businessman John Hales, has made a complete recovery from the overreach injury sustained at Sandown in May last year.

Expectant trainer Paul Nicholls said: “I went to see him at John’s stables last week and he looks fantastic.

“John’s wife Pat and daughter Lisa have done a really good job with his rehabilitation and pre-training and I am thrilled he is coming back.

“But obviously we will be taking one step at a time.”

Azertyuiop is already priced at 10-1 with William Hill to win the Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival in March, a race he won in 2004.
