Cheltenham Racecourse
Cheltenham Racecourse's number one priority has always been to provide the best underfoot conditions for the horses, not only in the Cheltenham Festival Betting events during March, but throughout the season using the available ground has enabled the Racecourse to produce fresh ground on the New Course for both the third and in 2005 the fourth day of The Festival.Cheltenham now consists of two race courses called the Old and New, both containing many well-built fences, placing the emphasis on the contestants' jumping ability. With the physical challenges of the course, and the quality of the other entries, winners at Cheltenham are tested to the extreme and you should be sure your selection will stay the trip especially in the longer races. Fences at Cheltenham tend to amongst the most sturdy in National Hunt Racing and as many are jumped at high speed casualties do and will occur. Picking horses with proven jumping ability can only be an advantage.. After clearing the final fence the daunting uphill finish can test a horse's stamina to the limit.
