With the new National Hunt season now in full swing, the 2012 Cheltenham Festival is becoming the centre of attention for racing fans across the country. The bookmakers are already offering antepost markets for many of the feature races at the 2012 meeting. The odds reflect the chances of the current champions regaining their crowns and the winners of the Novice races from 2011 stepping up to take on their older counterparts with the Festival running between 13th-16th March. All eyes are on Long Run once again this season as he bids for a second straight Gold Cup after his great win last season at the Festival. Big Bucks is going for fourth successive win in the World Hurdle while Hurricane Fly will be back to defend the Champion Hurdle he won last season. It will also be interesting to follow the fortunes of the likes of Zarkandar who looked a real star when winning the Triumph Hurdle at last season's Festival and he could go down the Champion Hurdle route this campaign.

The 2012 schedule will follow a similar one to that of 2011 with the Champion Hurdle the feature on day 1, the Queen Mother Champion Chase on Day 2, the Ladbrokes World Hurdle on Day 3 and of course the feature Cheltenham Gold Cup taking its place on the final day of the Festival.
