Cheltenham Festival Accommodation

When it comes to top class sport, Cheltenham is now in an elite group of only four towns or cities that host racing, county cricket and league football. While thousands arrive at the Cheltenham Racecourse for the festival each year the town also offers a substantial range of retail shops to spend your winnings at and many hours can pass painlessly enjoying the shops and cafes in the Promenade and Montpellier.

When darkness falls, Cheltenham gets in the mood with no less than 19 nightclubs and 50 restaurants. Many hotels are within easy walking distance of the action.

It can be difficult to find accommodation during the festival and the one assured tip that we can advise is book early otherwise you will end up spending more than budget or having to settle for Cheltenham accommodation which is not totally suitable or some distance from the racecourse.

Cheltenham Tourism estimates that around 10,000 beds each night are filled during Festival week, ranging from 4* accommodation to local B & Bs. And nightclubs and bars around Cheltenham all benefit from the uplift in the numbers in Cheltenham. Gloucestershire Tourism put the value of The Festival to the wider local economy at £50 million.
