Arkle Challenge Trophy 2009 Result
The Arkle set off with 17 runners going to post with an open field and several contenders but it was Tatenen who set off as favourite. It was not to be though as Tatenen fell at fence three to gasps from the crowd. Tatenen's exit left an open race but it was Forpadydeplasterer who was in contention throughout the race and he looked good coming over the last.
It was Kalahari King who chased down forpadydeplasterer all the way to the line and it was virtually neck and neck but it was the Irish horse Forpadydeplaster who won the Arkle. It was Planet Of Sound who finished third after a good performance and he was another horse who has attracted good support.
