Irish bookmaker Paddypower have joined forces with us to offer an excellent special £200 Free Cheltenham Bets Offer...
Unlike a number of the other races at the festival the Champion Bumper will bring a whole new breed of recruits to our attention and as such we have just a small amount of form to go on. We will of course be following all of the main contenders in the betting through the season on both sides of the Irish Sea as one of the build up to the big race continues.
We will no doubt be seeing the Willie Mullins yard have some nice types for the Bumper this year and we will of course be keeping a close eye on his runners through the winter.
Willie Mullins has the exciting Make Your Mark in his yard this season he won a hot looking Bumper at Punchestown on seasonal debut. It was an impressive win for the young horse as he quickened with ease and if he stays on the flat he will have every chance at Cheltenham.
Another potential Bumper horse from Ireland this season is the exciting Don Cossack who has been installed near the top of the betting after a good win at Navan. The Gordon Elliott horse won the Future Champions Flat race at Navan under a patient ride from Nina Carberry and although his future plans have not been outlined he looks one to follow.
Another potential star has emerged from the Willie Mullins yard in the form of the exciting Champagne Fever. The Rich Ricci owned horse hacked up recently at Faiyhouse and the trainer was quick to say he deserves to take his chance at Cheltenham. Mullins has a number of Bumper horses this season but on form Champagne Fever could well be the best of the lot as we approach the Festival.
