Coral Cup Results

The Coral Cup is always one of the toughest betting heats of the week at Cheltenham and it looked the same this year with Balgarry going off at around 6/1 favourite for the race. There was a big field as always with 28 going to post in the Coral Cup and the early leaders were Balgarry and Son Of Flicka with the pace fast and furious as always in such a tight race.

As they came to the top of the hill on the final circuit it was Balgarry who was in front but he was being joined by the likes of Shoreacres and Poole Master with the race looking anyone's. Balgarry came to the second last in front with Spirit River going well along with Son Of Flicka. It was Son Of Flicka who hit the front over the last and he powered up the hill to claim the win for Donald McCain and Jason Maguire. Get Me Out Of Here ran well to finish second while Balgarry simply didnt get home after leading for most of the way.
