The County Handicap Hurdle went to tape with a huge 27 runners with the favourite among those being Dave's Dream. It was Khyber Kim who stretched clear as they set off and he was happy to set the tempo early on but he was nowhere at the finish.
With the pace picking up there were several contenders in with a shout and it was American Trilogy with Ruby Walsh on board that sprinted clear. He simply bounded up the hill and won by a convincing margin as the others fought out the places. It was long shot Stadbrook who came in second and Cockney Trucker squeezed in third place.
