Cross Country Handicap Chase Form
The key form race to review for the best form for the 2016 Cross Country Chase is the Cross Country race at the Cheltenham December meeting. This is one of the only chances during the year that many of the runners will get a chance to race in this fantastic race. There are very few cross country races during the season so any that do take place are well worth keeping a close eye on.
There are certain trainers worth following through the season with Edna Bolger being top of that list, the Irish trainer will always have a good cross country chaser on his books so his runners should be watched very closely.
Cross Country Handicap Racecard/Form 2016
The next big trial of the season was the Cross Country Chase at Cheltenham during the International Meeting and it was Josies Orders who put up a career best. Under another terrific ride from Nina Carberry, Josies Orders pulled clear of Sire Collonges on the run in and with Enda Bolger the master of training theses horses over the Cross Country races, he has to be a major player in March. This was a much tougher ask than his handicap win at Cheltenham last month and at just seven, there should be more to come from him.
The Cross Country Races at Cheltenham through the season are great form guides for the big Festival race and we saw a very good winner of the race at the Open Meeting. Enda Bolger is famous for his Cross Country horses and he looks to have another nice one on his hands in the form of Josies Orders who won here in taking fashion. Given a terrific ride by Nina Carberry, Josies Orders weaved his way through the field to beat Any Currency and he has to be a contender at the Festival.
