This was the first running of the Cross Country race at the Cheltenham festival meeting. This race takes place in the centre of the course and produced a really game performance by the winner Spotthedifference who is a real cross country specialist. Having being outpaced early in the race he stayed on gamely to carry top weight and win well in the end.
