Cross Country Handicap Chase

Never compromise went off in front and set the early lead at a steady pace followed by the Paul Nicholls pair Royal Auclair and Le Duc with the order staying the same way for half the race.

Going around the final circuit Royal Auclair took it up but quickly faded and it was left to Silver Birch, Le Duc and favourite Heads on the Ground for trainer Jim Bolger.

Heads on the Ground took it up going to the last and went up the hill for Nina Carberry making a great day for the Carberry family who's brother won the Champion hurdle on Sublimity.
