With Nicky Henderson in second place in the leading trainers championship for the festival going into the race he has two running for him in the race French Opera and My Petra for the race named after his father. The man in front going into the last was Paul Nicholls and he has the favourite in Poquelin ridden by Ruby Walsh, Pasco and Andreas.
A good early pace was set by L'Orient Express and tokk the field out into the county in the lead. Moon Over Miami was prominant and Poquelin was not travelling well at the half way point. The front two led them down the hill with French Opera making mastakes. Moon Over Miami took it up with Oh Crick joining him at the last and they battle all the way to the line with Oh Crick just getting home in front.
