Grand Annual Chase 2010 Result
So we come to the last race of the 2010 Cheltenham Festival and the Grand Annual Chase, the 19 runners went to post with Youre The Top the favourite as the punters had one last chance to win their money back. The early leader was Fighting Chance who was looking to set the field along at a good clip in the rain with Moon Over Miami also looking good.
As they came into the straight it was French Opera and Tartak who were looking in good shape and they were in contention up until the last fence. As the scripte said though it was Pigeon Island for Nigel Twiston-Davies who stormed past the pair of them to give the trainer a magnificent treble on Gold Cup day. The curtain came down on the Festival with a storming race and a great ride by Paddy Brennan in the 2010 Grand Annual.
