The next race on the card was the always exciting Pertemps Final Handicap Hurdle and before the off the favourite was Chartreux who looked to be in with a chance of running well, but as always it was a hard one for punters to decide on with a big field going to post. There was a fast pace early on with last year's winner Buena Vista happy to bowl along in front in the early stages of the race.
Buena Vista remained in the lead on the second circuit with the field all placed tightly behind him as they came to the third last but last year's winner was still some way clear and jumping in style. Buena Vista led over the final fence with Son Amix trying to hunt him down but there was no catching him as Buena Vista produced one of the best Festival performances of the week. It was a great Festival run from the front and although Son Amix was game and Sivota stayed on well they were no match for the winner who racked up another win on his 7th consecutive Festival performance.

2. Son Amix (Paul Carberry) 16-1
