The Queen Mother Champion Chase is the highlight on the card on day 2 and all eyes were on Master Minded and Big Zeb as the tapes went up to a huge roar in the 2011 race with Master Minded going off the favourite after a flood of money before the off. The fast early pace was set by Mad Max for Nicky Henderson while Sizing Europe was also being raced prominently and looked to be in good shape.
As they went into the second circuit it was Sizing Europe who was out in front and he was still bowling along in front as they came to the top of the hill but Master Minded and Big Zeb were travelling well and looking dangerous. Master Minded was just starting to be niggled by Ruby Walsh when he made a shuddering mistake at the second last to leave his chance gone and Big Zeb chasing long time leader Sizing Europe. Sizing Europe though was simply sensational as he lead all the way up the hill and looked to be going faster through the line to win in some style from a game Big Zeb.
