Rsa Chase 2010 Result
The RSA Chase is always a race to keep an eye on for future names and all the talk before this one was about the Nicky Henderson duo Punchestowns and the new star Long Run and most thought it would be a race between those two as the 9 went to post. The early pacesetter of this eagerly anticipated race was the good looking Citizen Vic with Ruby Walsh on board with Long Run at the back of the field.
Citizen Vic held the lead for most of the way before falling three out in a bad fall to leave Long Run in the lead and looking good in the hands of Sam Waley-Cohen. Long Run made a mistake at the last meaning Weapons Amnesty took up the running and simply steamed away from the field, Long Run faded and was passed by the fast finishing Burton Point for the places while Punchestowns and Diamond Harry never figured. It was an impressive run from the winner with Davey Russell on board for a horse that looks to have big future in front of him while Long Run looks to have struggled to stay the trip.
